Vodnjan, October 10, 2022 - This largest and most prestigious olive festival in Croatia and the region returns this year in a completely new guise, with a rich program, at a different location and under a new name. This year's ISTRAVIRGIN, the 16th days of young olive oil, will turn the town of Vodnjan into the center of the olive growing world and a hit place for all olive growers, oil growers, gastronomic experts and lovers of liquid "green gold", which is one of the symbols of the Istrian peninsula and the Vodnjan region.
The central manifestation of the Istrian olive growing scene, along with the solid foundations of tradition, this year brings other novelties in addition to a new name. For the first time, the edition of the ISTRAVIRGIN festival, the days of young olive oil, will be held in the premises of the former imposing city school, which will bring an element of Vodnjan tradition, but also modernity, to the event and will become a place for business and private meetings in a pleasant and hospitable environment.
