Due to the increased number of reservations from our guests with their furry friends in out dog friendly villas in Croatia, we decided to make it easier to plan a trip and write a list of dog friendly beaches in Dalmatia.
If you have a pet and want to take it with you on vacation, the beach where you can take your dog certainly plays an important role in choosing a holiday destination. That is why we bring you list of every dog friendly beach in Dalmatia!
1. Beach Bristak, Tribunj
Bristak beach is a beautiful pebble beach located at the end of Tribunj, towards Vodice. Access to the beach is extremely easy. It can also be reached by car, and parking is available nearby. It is the longest beach in Tribunj, and is suitable for families with children and all who want clean sea and enjoy the sun. Deckchairs and parasols can be rented on Bristak beach for a completely pleasant stay and lounging by the sea, while pebbles are ideal for younger generations. Nearby there is a children's playground that will delight the youngest, while the elderly will enjoy the pleasant ambience of a cafe located next to the playground. If you get hungry during your stay on Bristak beach, there is also a snack bar nearby where you can eat a simple but delicious meal. At the end of the beach there is also a part that is marked as an official beach for dogs, so all owners can enjoy the joys of the sea there with their pet.
2. Beach in Srima.
The beach for dogs in Srima is located in a place near Vodice, not far from the beach Bristak. It is located in the far east of Srima. Here dog owners can freely enjoy the sea with their pets. The beach in Srima, unlike Bristak beach, is a rocky beach.
3. Stara skola in Vodice
Stara skola beach is an official dog-friendly beach located in the Vodice city centre famous with clear clean sea and small pebbles on the bottom that attracts families with children and pets. Its superb location gives you a unique option of touring the famous tourist hotspot and enjoy a day at the bash without having to take a drive! There are also many restaurants, bars and monuments you can check out in the city and you won't have to walk too much. There is not much shade on Stara škola beach, so take note on that!
4. Zaton, Zadar
The sandy beach in Zaton, located in a gentle bay, is 16 kilometers from the center of Zadar, in the direction of Nin. She is the holder of the Blue Flag, which implies a high standard of clean sea, tidiness, safety and quality of beach equipment.On the beach there is a whole complex of restaurants, beach bars, pizzerias, grill restaurants, fast food restaurants, souvenir shops, shops, pastry shops.
5. St. Clement's Peninsula, Zadar
Zadar has got a new dog friendly zone where four-legged pets and their owners can enjoy swimming without worries. It is the island of Sv. Clement, which is located at the end of Punta Bajlo and is physically separated from the newly renovated beach.

6. Kazin,Privlaka
The beach for dogs is located at the location "Kažin" near the Virski bridge. The beach is over a hundred meters long, adequately fenced. There is a parking space and an access road.
7. Duilovo Beach, Split
Duilovo beach is located on a forty meter landscaped pebble beach, which is equipped with showers, locker rooms and tents where dogs can hide from the sun. There you can also find water bowls and trash cans. Today, Duilovo beach is one of the favorite dog beaches in Croatia, which is often visited by visitors without pets.
8. Beach Kajsuni, Split
Beach Kasjuni is located in the area called Marjan in Split. This pebble beach is located right next to the main beach of Kasjuni. There are rocks between these two beaches, so you can undisturbedly enjoy with your pet. There are no additional contents on this beach, there are also no showers, so bring your own drinking water.

9. Kastel Stafilic and Kastel Kambelovac
The beaches are marked with signs with the inscription "beach for dogs" and are equipped with trash cans. Animal owners are obliged to keep and lead dogs on a leash, have the necessary equipment needed to maintain hygiene on the beach, clean up the waste for their animal and wash the surface.
10. Beach Brzet, Omis
It is located between the settlements of Nemira and Omis. The beach is pebble type and is completely surrounded by pine trees, so it is ideal for all those who do not want to fry in the sun all day. Of the additional facilities, the beach has a bar, cafe, restaurant nearby. You can also rent deck chairs and parasols on it. On the beach there is a public shower and toilet.
11. Beach Zastup, Brac
Next to the settlement of Splitska, on the island of Brac, there is the beach Zastup. It is located in a bay, surrounded by a road and it is easy to reach. The beach is made of medium-sized pebbles, surrounded by greenery and local roads. The sea in front is shallow, suitable for children and people who swim less. It is separated from the village, so it is good to bring everything you need, especially if you plan to spend the whole day on the beach.
12. Part of Zarace beach, Hvar
The village of Zarace, six kilometers away from the town of Hvar, is located in the stone cliff on the south side of the island of Hvar. At the foot of a small picturesque village there is a bay with pebble beaches, and one part is reserved for dogs.

13. Beach Cvitacka, Makarska
Cvitacka is a smaller, pebble beach that is located 3 km of the centre of Makarska. It is a hidden, quiet peace of heaven, where You can truly relax and enjoy in all beauties of summer. You dog can run free and You do not have to worry that You are bothering other people. If it gets too hot for You, there is always shade on one side. Of the additional facilities, beach has cafe, fast food and public shower and toilet 100 m away.
14. Vartalac Beach, Vis
Vartalac beach is also called Dog beach, namely this is the only beach on the island of Vis where swimming is officially allowed for pets. It is located on the outskirts of the town of Komiza, and is surrounded by lush vegetation and rocks of volcanic origin.
15. Dubrovnik
Unfortunately, Dubrovnik does not have a beach for pets, and they are not allowed to swim in hotels or cities. Don't despair, because we will tell you some beaches where you can swim without fear of any sanctions. These are the beaches below the Old Hospital, Boninovo, Gorica ... Also, on the beach Dance there is a part separate from the swimmers, where you can also bring your dog or other pet.

16.Plitvine Bay, Korcula
Following the new trends in tourism and the growing number of guests who come on holiday with their four-legged pets in Vela Luka, the Dogs friendly beach has been arranged and marked. It is a beach located on the promenade between Hotel Posejdon and Hotel Adria in Plitvine Bay, which was arranged by the Tourist Board of Vela Luka in mid-2016 to meet the needs of guests and locals who go swimming in the company of their pets.
Although Dalmatia is not known for its beaches for dogs and there are very few officially marked beaches, in almost every destination you can find places where your pet can bathe. Whether you’re on a beach marked for dogs or not, you have to keep in mind that each beach has its own rules that vary from beach to beach, so ask around before your visit.
